N2, an innovative method of communicating and sharing data over a network, ensures instantaneous information transfer between display heads. As data is updated between units via Northstar's N2 network, the information is stored on each individual device for redundancy in the unlikely event of unit failure. The also leverages a boat's existing technology through VGA outputs and NTSC video inputs. Plotter, sounder and radar information can be easily displayed on VGA monitors and TV sets throughout the boat, and full-motion video can be viewed right on the display units in full-screen, split-screen and picture-in-picture modes, or superimposed over navigation data.Northstar's displays offer a bigger viewing screen with a smaller footprint than ever.
