NWD254 10" Nautic High Performance Marine Subwoofer OUTDOOR SPECIALISTS MB Quart Nautic Systems are specially designed and built to meet the requirements of marine applications. Their high reliability and equally long life allow them to stand up to even the most severe environmental conditions. Typically found on marine crafts, they stand out against the background noise due to their brilliant clarity and outstanding sound quality. UV-RESISTANT PLASTIC In order to completely prevent corrosion, the housing and cover grills are made of fiber-reinforced ABS plastic. The housings are injection-molded in one piece around the magnet systems, so that the latter are perfectly and completely protected. The plastic is UV-resistant, and will not be subject to color deterioration. HIGH PITCH PROTECTION PTC protective element is incorporated into the loudspeaker in order to protect the tweeter against overloading. This automatically absorbs excess energy and ensures the sound quality of the tweeter even at extreme volumes. TITANIUM DOME This extremely light and strong material originally developed for space technology is used as the tweeter membrane. Due to its extreme rigidity, partial vibrations are reduced to a minimum. The result is a very linear frequency transition with excellent efficiency levels, all within the smallest possible dimensions. CONNECTION TERMINALS The connection terminals are gold-plated for better conductivity and protection against corrosion. This also enables the use of larger gauge wiring.
